Art Project: Creating a Mural in Another School
Thanks to Ms Costello for organising an Art project for 5th years, which gave them another opportunity to express their creativity.
"Some 5th year students have been working on an Art mural project for a special needs pre-school. The group worked to a brief given by the teachers of the school, to design a mural to help the sudents with their learning. On 31 January, the group met with the teachers in St Colmcille, Donaghmende, to present their ideas and to get feedback on the mural design. The design included characters from well-known children's stories and songs. It included many shapes and objects for the children to identify and count."

Red Stables Art Exhibition January 21st 2017

The art department of Manor House held an art exhibition of 1st and 2nd year artwork in the Red Stables, St. Anne's Park on Saturday 21st January 2017. There was a fantastic turnout on the day including pupils, family members, friends and teachers. All funds raised from the exhibition went towards Team Dee. There were five class groups and five different art projects. There were three prizewinners in each class announced at a presentation that afternoon. A group of 5th and 6th years created a range of lino prints influenced by flowers and the Team Dee logo colours which were available for sale and were a great success.  Below is a selection of photographs from the day along with the photos of all the winning pieces of art work. Well done girls - the work was of an excellent standard and was incredibly well praised and acknowledged on the day by all who came to see it.
